what’s been going on with you?

Me? Not much. This year kinda sucks really and I aint got nothing to say.

The Animation Pimp might return as a column on AWN in JAnuary 2010. Look out. I’ve been saving up five years of rants against the animation industry and artistic community.

Good year for short animation, not a great year. Just finished OIAF selection. 2200 submissions. It was tough narrowing things down. Too many good not great films. Students were impressive. Few vets impressed. Few more did not.

Finished a book called Animators Unearthed.

Just getting into next book. S’called Japanese Animation: Time out of Mind. Will be out in August/September 2010.
